You can’t access your contacts, tasks, or calendar when you connect to your account using POP3 or IMAP4. Connecting to your Office 365 for business or other Microsoft Exchange-based email account using POP3 and IMAP4 only lets you send and receive email. In these cases, be sure to set a unique and strong passphrase do not reuse your Trinity or other passwords. Please be advised that Microsoft 365 add-ins may require you to create an account with that vendor. Please note that additional controls may be required depending on the data type and relevant regulations. OneDrive for Business is approved for storing some restricted data, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)- and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)-related information. Login: Password: your Trinity password.For clients that do not support Exchange, you’ll need to use the server settings below to manually set up email. We recommend using Exchange settings with your Microsoft 365 account. We recommend updating your account to use Exchange settings (it might be listed as Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 or Microsoft 365, depending on your email client). Basic authentication is an outdated industry standard that’ll be deprecated. Starting in October 2022, Microsoft 365 accounts set up as IMAP won’t be able to connect to their mailboxes in email clients using Basic authentication. LITS highly recommends using the Outlook email client or Outlook Web App (OWA) to access your Trinity Office 365 email.
